I'm a sucker for flowers in the hair. If my clients haven't noticed yet, I ALWAYS have something in my hair and my favorite has to be some sort of flowers. I'm not gunna lie, when I met this family and saw Mom Lee and daughter Michelle sporting the cutest flower halos I wanted to run down the hill and begin shooting stat! I just love how this family dressed and had so much fun laughing and taking pictures with them on a very hot Saturday morning.
Families // Salguero
Oh man did I have a blast photographing this family at the Ranch (aka Murrieta Wine Field) last week. The two oldest girls pretty much stole my attention the entire time. Such good listeners and did anything I would ask, with promises of petting a horse or swinging on the tire swing of course. Zamara is such a loving and sweet Mama I was so grateful she chose me to capture some family photos for her.
Newborn // Bianca
Beautiful Bianca did not want to sleep but once she finally let us feed her, she was out for the last part of the session. During that time, I learned she did not want to leave the comfort of my basket and did not want to be moved a lot. One thing I love is just knowing every little one is different and understanding them. Totally worked around what she wanted and still managed to get such precious shots. At the very end she let me take her out of the basket and unwrap her. While I rocked her a bit in my arms, she stayed asleep long enough for me to get the last few shots shown down below. Probably one of my top 3 favorite newborn shots I've ever done is the very last one. Enjoy!
Newborn // Wyatt
I honestly fell in love with how real Chris & Kristen are. I don't care if that sounds weird to say, but I genuinely got to know them at their maternity shoot just by watching them be cute with one another and joke around with me. It was nice. It felt like I was hanging out with my siblings or cousins or something. When I fall in love with a couple, which honestly I do all the time. Yep clients don't be scared, I truly fall in love with you all. Is that weird? I hope not, I'm just a big lovebug I tell ya. Anyway when this happens, especially with maternity clients, I get so stinkin excited to meet your new addition to the family. Maybe sometimes a bit too excited. Meeting Wyatt felt like that. I loved cuddling him and trying to get him to sleep, which he didn't always do, as you will see with some of his precious wide eyed shots. But I also LOVED watching these first time parents look at him with such adoration and love. They are absolutely head over heels in love with this little man and let me tell you something, the pictures don't do some of his expressions justice. He would make the funniest faces and I would have to stop photographing, giggle, gather my composure, and continue. Below are some of my favorites!
Maternity // Mannon
Was so lucky that I not only got to capture this sweet family's Homecoming but that a few weeks later, I got to see them again to focus on that baby bump. First of all, major props because this family doesn't know what they are having, they want it to be a surprise. That would be so hard for me to do, but the idea is so exciting! I can't wait to hear what new baby Mannon will be. The light was gorgeous coming thru the forest on the day of our photoshoot and below are just some of my favorites. Also I adore their little boy Chase so much! It was so fun to watch his personality and to be extra silly to get smiles.
