Children // Elias {4 mos} + 5 year wedding anniversary

July 08, 2015  •  2 Comments

This is one of the sweetest and most kind hearted families I have the pleasure of photographing. I was pretty thrilled when they booked babies 1st year photography bundle I recently began offering. Talk about blessed! I now get to watch another little newborn client grow. I think that's so special. What I LOVED even more about this shoot is that we ended it celebrating Ryan & Natalie's 5 year wedding anniversary complete with wedding attire. Even more awesome, is we included their son in the images. After all he completes their world. Can we just stop for a second after looking at the below images and realize how stunning Natalie is in her wedding dress? WOW!

Children // Wyatt {4 years old}

Wyatt has one of the most beautiful hearts any almost 4 year old could have. When I get to photograph him, his little sister, or family...I always get a run, jump into my arms big hug. I have to admit, he is one of the best huggers around. I love hugs and I love Wyatt. The first picture below he is holding the big black chalkboard. Funny thing is my husband and I almost threw that thing away because he's had to fix it so much and I barely used it. I told him lets wait, I'll use it for Wyatt's shoot and then probably be done with it. You see I have a HUGE issue with throwing things away, something I'm constantly working on. Okay sorry I'm rambling, but you all needed a quick back story. When I had Wyatt hold it for the picture, the wind was absolutely crazy! Literally gusts of wind would send Wyatt and the chalkboard falling forward. Well in the end the biggest gust of wind knocked them both over and Wyatt landed on my chalkboard, you could hear the glass break beneath the backing of the frame. It was originally a picture frame. I wish I could have captured his face. The loud, talkative, spunky little boy I know and love got so quiet and I immediately couldn't stop laughing. Once I explained to both Wyatt and his Mom that my husband Jeff was going to be so happy he broke it because we wanted to throw it away we moved on. We carried on with the shoot and the second Wyatt's Mom left to go check on his sleeping sister, Wyatt touched my arm and said really quiet "Miss Lo I'm real sorry I broke that thing". OH MY GOSH my heart broke a little, I gave him a hug and said "what? that old thing? I'm so happy you broke it." After a lot of "but why Miss Lo"...finally I could tell he felt better about it. Is it weird to say I already know Mr. Wyatt is going to head to pre-school soon and come home after the first day and announce the whole class is his best friend. I know that he is going to make some woman so happy someday and be an amazing husband. And I know he will always be his sister's protector. Wyatt is amazing, smart, funny, sweet, and oh so charming. I'm the luckiest photographer around to have the sweetest and cutest little clients EVER!

Families // Schaaf

The Schaafs were the perfect family to take to Murrieta Wine Field (aka Rapheka Ranch) and capture some memories there. Cowboy boots and hats completed their attire and were perfect pieces for the ranch. We had a slight breeze as the humidity tried to take over, but the lighting that day was incredible. I may be biased but I sure do love some blonde headed boys. Are they not so precious?! Their parents were so patient and loving as we went from spot to spot getting shots. I can't wait for them to see them all, but for now...check out some of my favorites below.

Newborn // Ryker

Major props to this family for surviving such a humid morning. It wasn't just hot, the heat was literally sticking to us all. At one point it started sprinkling for a little bit, super light rain. We all just stood there in it, trying to feel refreshed. Ryker was a trooper during this intense weather. He took a bit to get settled but once he felt full, snug, and cozy...he just slept and slept. He didn't like to be moved too much and definitely loved being wrapped best. In my opinion what's his best feature? Um no question about it, check out those LIPS! And isn't the first image below just adorable?

Maternity // Buckner

Means so much to me when a client drives far to have me capture photos for them. This sweet family drove from south San Diego and I couldn't have felt more honored to have met them. It was easy to get them to showcase their love for one another and so easy to pose the gorgeous Mama, Marjorie. I don't have Mama's often that want to show off their belly, but when I do, I JUST LOVE IT! I also love how big sister wanted to be a big part of these photos so much, it truly warmed my heart. She had such a sweet spirit about her and I bet she will be the most attentive and loving big sister around... I think she already is an amazing big sister. Buckner family thank you so much for choosing me to take these pictures.
