I truly love photographing little ones birthday parties. Its a chance for me to just be right there catching every moment I can. Josie is one beautiful little girl and I'm lucky to have been able to photograph her a few times. So it was a special treat to see her happy in her own environment with her loved ones. Josie's Mom did so good with the mermaid decor and Josie practically lived in the pool the entire time... in true mermaid fashion.

One of my favorite little girls names is Sophia and boy she lived up to the beauty of her name. Even though she wanted her hands free and wanted to be awake as much as possible, she still delivered such gorgeous photos. I was particularly happy that I won over one of her older brothers and he seemed to like me in the end. You will see his solo shot below being all funny with his cheese face. Such a sweet patient loving family, was so happy to capture this special time in their lives.

Sweet sweet Max, oh man how you put up with the chilled air by letting me wrap you up so good. He loved having his hands out and about. I would have to be sneaky and wait for him to be in full slumber mode before I moved them into a position I wanted. Honestly the images of Max and his big sister Ayla though are some of my favorites sibling shots ever. One of them made me teary eyed. Which one makes you smile extra hard?
//Huge thank you to Kenzie's Corner Kidwear for the gorgeous newborn bed && Jen of Squirmy Worms for the bear hat//

Was such a fun morning last weekend spending it with this gorgeous family. I love seeing families that are so close and love each other so much. And those that make each other laugh. It was a pleasure capturing some memories for them. Below are some of my favorites.

I have to say I walked away smiling from this session. Smiling because love is such a beautiful thing and smiling because it was pure joy photographing these two beautiful people. I think its such a wonderful thing that they take pictures together once a year. Its an important thing to do. And don't just take them, but print your favorite ones. Those are memories to fill your home. Happy 5 years of marriage to you two. You made my job so easy and I truly loved capturing your love for each other.
