When Chris emailed me interested in a session with him and his wife, I thought... Well first I thought my husband would never do this (he hates pictures) and then I thought how sweet. Chris is awesome! It was a birthday gift for her and what a great one it was...if I do say so myself. I truly enjoyed these two lovebirds the minute I met them and snapped that first image. They were so smiley, carefree, laidback, and SO in love. Mary is gorgeous and when she stares at Chris, it made me feel their love. When Chris would smile at Mary, I swear both their eyes would sparkle back at one another. Chris & Mary thanks so much for making my job so easy, it was such a wonderful evening capturing memories for you two.

I had to patiently wait a month to get my hands on this little handsome dude and he was worth the wait. He loved being cuddled, especially by his Mommy. In a month time he almost doubled his birth weight. I loved photographing a healthy, strong, and like I said SO handsome 9 pounder. He slept for the most part really well and loved being bundled up the best. You have to check out the last photos of him, they are far too cute!

Aizen needs to be a gap baby model. Has has the softest skin, most amazing skin tone, deepest big dark eyes, and I sure love his little lips. We broke his session into two different days because someone didn't want to sleep. I have to admit I didn't mind. I loved his big eyes staring back at me as I snapped pictures, but he definitely wasn't in the mood to model for long. For round two I did a mini arm workout for myself and put him in a basket all snuggled up and rocked him in the air. I may have looked silly but it worked and he fell asleep. It felt like such a victory. I have to say the shot with him all snuggled in with a teddy bear is definitely one of my favorite images I have ever taken of a newborn.

Want to know how to make Cole laugh? Sneeze. I seriously cracked up pretending to sneeze or cough (basically act a fool) just to see him smile. Its so surreal to me how I photographed him in his Mama's belly, then saw him last Christmas for family pictures, and now he's 1 and I got to capture his cake smash. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, time is just flying by. Cole truly has such a sweet quiet spirit about him. Make sure to look extra close at these images and his facial expressions. I guarantee you will finish looking thru the blog and find yourself smiling like a goober! Happy 1st birthday Cole!

Alyssa is so beautiful inside and out. I could tell right away from meeting her for the first time at her sisters cake smash that she just radiates sweetness and has a beautiful spirit about her. She's quiet but so smart. She was shy at first but I loved making her laugh. She's a lover of all animals so I knew Murrieta Wine Field aka Rapheka Ranch was the perfect place to capture these moments. Happy sweet 16 Alyssa!
